Mechanical Connector

The mechanical connectors with shear bolts provide safe electrical connections. They incorporate an integral moisture/contaminant block thereby removing the possibility of migration of contaminants/moisture across the joints. One type of mechanical connector is suitable for Aluminum to Aluminum, Copper to Copper, or Aluminum to Copper conductors. Complete with the patented universal shear screw for installation with either a ratchet or impact wrench. Connectors with shear bolts have a wide scope of application due to the large range of conductors they can be used with. The body of the connectors is made of Aluminum alloy of high strength which is corrosion resistant, and their surface is additionally protected by the tin-plating process to avoid galvanic action. The inside of the connectors is filled with electrical contact grease and sealed with a protective bung. The inside of the connectors is toothed to ensure better contact.
